Business Central Open-Source Contributions: The quickest way how to see your name during Microsoft BC Keynotes
In this session, we will explore the open-source programs in Business Central and how you can become a top contributor with just an hour/two of your time every week.
We will cover the following topics:
- How to create an environment for developing apps in Business Central using scripts prepared by Microsoft.
- How to choose an issue to implement and how to prepare, create and get approval for your own idea.
- Our experience with the development of the base app program
- The structure of the base app and how to not get lost in the base app test app (one of the most complicated things in this open-source program!)
The session is presented by most active contributors to Business Central open source programs, and we want to share our experience, problems and ideas to help you start (or improve) your contributions.
The session is primarily for developers, but it is also useful for consultants to know how open-source programs work and what needs to be done if they have an idea (and developer) they want to create.
